Calathea Rosy, also known as Calathea roseopicta 'Rosy', is a stunning variety of Calathea appreciated for its ornamental foliage and unique patterns. The leaves of Calathea Rosy are the main attraction. They are oval to lance-shaped, with a velvety texture and vibrant coloration. The upper surface of the leaves features a striking pattern of dark green to olive green leaves with contrasting pinkish-red veins. The underside of the leaves is usually a deep purple or burgundy color, adding to the plant's overall attractiveness.

Calathea Rosy is prized as a decorative indoor plant due to its vibrant foliage and exotic appearance. It adds a touch of tropical elegance to any room or office space.

  • Lighting

Prefers bright, indirect light but can tolerate low light. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can cause leaf burn and fading of colors.

  • Watering

Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. Use filtered, distilled, or rainwater to avoid chlorine and fluoride, which can cause leaf browning.

  • Toxicity

Non-toxic to pets and humans, making it a great choice for homes with cats and dogs.

  • Fertilization

Feed with a balanced, diluted liquid fertilizer every 4 weeks in spring and summer. Avoid over-fertilizing, as it can lead to salt buildup. No need to fertilize in fall and winter.
