Herbst's Bloodleaf prefers average room temperatures between 65°F to 75°F (18°C to 24°C). It can tolerate slightly higher or lower temperatures, but avoid exposing it to extreme fluctuations. Maintain a moderate to high humidity level by misting the leaves regularly or placing a humidifier nearby.

Keep the soil evenly moist but not waterlogged. Water the plant when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch. Avoid overwatering as it can lead to root rot. Drain excess water from the saucer to prevent the plant from sitting in standing water.
