CARE GUIDE
 Common Problems Q&A
Why is my air plant turning brown?
  • Browning can occur due to overexposure to direct sunlight, underwatering, or not letting the plant dry completely after watering. Ensure it’s getting indirect light and is adequately watered without staying wet for too long.
What are the signs of an unhealthy air plant?
  • Brown or black tips: This can be caused by overexposure to direct sunlight, under-watering, or low humidity.
  • Wilted or soft leaves: This could indicate rot due to excessive moisture.
  • Discoloration or shriveling: If the plant is drying out and curling, it may not be getting enough water or humidity.
Can I leave my air plant in water for too long?
  • No, leaving your air plant submerged for too long can cause it to rot. Make sure to soak for no longer than 30 minutes, then allow it to dry thoroughly before placing it back in its holder. It is best to avoid getting water into the crown of the air plant as this can cause crown rot.
